Having celebrated some 4000 weddings, over a 33 year
career, I have the experience and confidence to make your wedding
day the most special event of your life.
In the relaxed atmosphere of my home office, I will assist you to
complete the required paperwork, to lodge the Notice Of Intended
Marriage, and to check your identity documents.
Together we will discuss each other's expectations and all the
details which will enable your wedding ceremony to run smoothly.
Legal Requirements of the Marriage Act.
Official Birth Certificates from the Registrar of Births or
equivalent, should be produced. They can be extracts, but must not
be photocopies.
If there has been a previous marriage, evidence of the dissolution
of
that marriage must be produced, i.e. a divorce decree or death
certificate.
Parties to a marriage should be over the age of 18 years.
As always, when dealing with human beings, there are complications
and exceptions. Talk to me about any difficulties, and I am
confident that I will be able to assist you in problem solving.
A Notice of Intended Marriage must be lodge with me at least one
clear month before the wedding, and no more than 18 months before.
